Getting started

Three steps to your first ARG edit

01InstallClose Premiere Pro and After Effects, then run ARG Pro Setup and keep the default options.
02Open the panelIn Premiere Pro or After Effects: Window › Extensions › ARG.
03Sign inSign in with Google or email inside the panel. Your 7-day trial starts right away.
Requirements

What you need

Computer

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 16 GB RAM or more. An NVIDIA GPU is recommended for fast transcripts and background removal.

Adobe apps

Premiere Pro 2024 or newer and/or After Effects 2024 or newer. Open After Effects once before installing.

Internet

Needed for the install (it downloads the transcript models) and to sign in. After that the tools run on your PC.

Updating

Run the newest installer over the old one. Your settings and account stay.

"Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen)

New installers show this until Windows has seen them many times. Click More info, then Run anyway. ARG Pro installs into your own user folders and needs no administrator rights.

The browser says the file "isn't commonly downloaded"

In Chrome or Edge open the downloads list, click the three dots next to ARG Pro Setup.exe and choose Keep.
